In this essay I will be explaining and exploring my development to my models and end production of my 3d models. When beginning my modelling experience I began by giving myself a brief idea of what I was going to make, so I made a mind map of brief ideas and developed the mind map into a more specific idea. Once I had my idea set on the gun game. I began researching up guns and knifes. Collecting a range of images I developed many of the image into my own model by drawing out views from different angles and measurements for cinema 4d. Which is shown in many of my other blog posts.
Then I moved onto my modelling production, in my modelling production I found that the software has a wide range of features so I used these effects to there full potential. By doing this I went on YouTube to see how to make the perfect hole in a cube, how to bend objects and how to use my own textures in colour.
Once I came around the basics I was using the spline tool to create the shaping of my image and transforming it to 3d using a tool called the extruding tool.
Making sure the angles were right the high and width, I wanted the model to be clearly seen so I used lights and area lighting to see the models in different ways from different angles.
Each of my models consisted of shaping in various sizes and smoothing off. Without the bevel tool all my objects looked to sharp on the corners and unrealistic. Therefore, I applied the smoothing and bevel tool to each of my images to define my objects in a more realistic way to the audience.
Although my models came out good I encountered many issues within the development of the final production. One of which was the spline tool. This is the tool I used to freely make a shape; the reasoning in why I had an issue with this is the bevel tool didn’t correspond with the spline tool. So to correct my errors I had to uses different shapes and sizes to complete my models production.
When I completed the individual models I moved on to making a set scene for my models to be incorporated into. The models have been set up in a camo-based hideout to fit the theme.
Although I completed all my models I had to show consistency and make a table, window and a target to make the set look more developed rather than empty.
The final piece to my work was rendering the production, once I rendered the production I had completed the task and published the work on social media.
