when doing photography it isn't all just about getting to the point. We all need to take in mind that you need to successfully do photography without any hazards getting in the way. To prevent this we all have to follow health and safety regulations. The HSE (health and safety executive) have set a few rules and guidelines for us to be safe when using our photography skills. This book also follows the laws in which we have to follow to be safe as well.
When we all do our pre-production paperwork one of the most vital pieces is the risk assessment sheet. In this sheet we need to know what is the risks and how we prevent them from happening. In Steps you would follow these steps in this order: - identify any hazards/risks - identify who might be the risk - evaluate hazards/risks and what you will do to minimise these - record your findings. |
In the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Chapter 37 explains the vital point and purpose of the sate of the law. If you look below this paragraph is taken from chapter 37 it explains how the law needs to put out for working in a safe environment.

An Act to make further provision for securing the health, safety and welfare of persons at work, for protecting others against risks to health or safety in connection with the activities of persons at work, for controlling the keeping and use and preventing the unlawful acquisition, possession and use of dangerous substances, and for controlling certain emissions into the atmosphere; to make further provision with respect to the employment medical advisory service; to amend the law relating to building regulations, and the Building (Scotland) Act 1959; and for connected purposes.
